Pope Tawadros’ mother has passed away on March 28. A mass was led by
Pope Tawadros in the Monastery of St. Dimyanah in Dakahlia and was attended by government and popular leaders, representatives of churches and masses of condolers. Thousands  have lined up to give condolences in St. Mark’s Cathedral in  ‘Abāssiyah, Cairo, among intense security procedures.
