- A meeting between the members of the Coptic Federation and Netanyahu in the U.S.A
- The emigrant Copts ignored the mysterious federation and boycotted it.
- Jewish financial and political support
- The Egyptian cultural counselor in the U.S.A. calls emigrant Copts and clarifies the picture.
Osama Salama writes about the support American Coptic organizations get from Jewish organizations, based on documents obtained from the USA and the claim that 4000 American churches will perform the "prayer of the absent for the Christian victims and martyrs in Egypt.’’
The American Coptic organization "tries to beautify the ugly face of Israel", the author writes, and "pictures Israel as a protector of human rights. On the other hand, it tries to tarnish the picture of Egypt, as it presents Egypt as a fanatic Islamic country that persecutes the Copts." That is something that stings Egyptians and particularly hurts those Muslims and Christians who are proud of their country and who are advocating national unity.
[Editor: This article addresses the exploitation of Coptic and Nubian feelings about discrimination and worse in Egypt for political gain by pro-Israeli Jewish groups. Sadly the author mentions no names but the image portrayed could fit the American Coptic Association of Dr. Shawky Karas].
