In the governorate of Dakahlia Counselor Mansūr Saqr, Head of the Criminal Court in Dakahlia, has stepped down from the trial of 19 men accused of killing a taxi driver. Residents of his village Sandūb gathered outside the court in Mansura to protest against the most severe punishment. General Hassan ‘Abd al-Hayy, Dakahlia security director, visited a soldier wounded by shrapnel in a shooting, for which the General Prosecution heard a number of eye witnesses and a number of suspects. In the governorate of Minya, eight people were arrested in relation to incursions into an evangelical church in Mallawī, the Coptic School of Saint Mark in Maghāghah, and Dayr al-Mawās (town south of Mallawī). Justice Tāmir Shammah, Attorney General for Damanhur, imprisoned members of a Muslim Brotherhood cell accused of setting fire to police cars (Rāmī al-Qināwī, ‘Alī Hussayn, Muhammad ‘Alām, Zaynab al-Zughbī and ‘Imād Khilāf, al-Dustūr, Mar. 5, p. 4).
