Rev.  Safwāt al-Bayādī, head of the Evangelical Community Council, stated that the Supreme Guide of the Muslim Brotherhood, Muhammad Badi’, who is currently residing in Tora prison, met him prior to the presidential elections.  The meeting came within the community partnership initiative between the group and the Coptic Evangelical Organization (CEOSS), at the time. He stated that a group vowed not to enter the presidential election contest.
